TriFREAKS Intership Experience
The TriFREAKS Internship Program is ideal for current or graduating students who are interested in gaining valuable experience in sports-related business. TriFREAKS offers internships throughout the year. All candidates interested in the TriFREAKS internship program must submit their resumes to info@TriFREAKS.com.
Following is a list of departments that are available for intership programs. Interns can and may elect to apply themselves in one or more departments, based on their skill set and areas of interest.
DEPARTMENTS
Event Management/Operations:
- Manage competitive bid processes for contracted equipment and services.
- Research and negotiate competitive product & swag partnerships.
- Be a part of the development of the event series as a whole.
- Help create timelines for event set-up and breakdown.
- Learn the intricacies of event production.
Research & Development:
Assist with the creation of new events, swag, marketing & PR campaigns, designed to set TriFREAKS apart from other event production companies.
Public Relations:
- Research & track media placements, photo requests & media requests.
- Create materials such as media guides, race programs, newsletters & advertising.
- Assist with on-site operations to include media center set-up and management & race-week media relations.
Marketing:
- Develop marketing materials such as fliers, newsletters & brand booklets.
- Assist in development of creative gifts, trips and outreach methods.
- Assist with online marketing and social networking campaigns.
- Research markets for brand extension and penetration.
- Learn contract development and execution.
Hospitality:
- Negotiate lodging partnerships & discounts for Athletes and TriFREAKS
- Communicate regularly to TriFREAKS sponsors and licensees.
- Build and maintain database for event VIPs.
- Negotiate food and beverage contracts.
Timing:
- Help manage race week logistics & assist with timing operations at events.
- Maintain Multiple Timing Databases utilizing Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Organize shipping, tracking, & receiving of timing equipment at events.
Legal:
- Learn the importance of policing a company brand(s) and protecting it through trademark/service mark registrations worldwide.
- Assist with monitoring and research of unauthorized third-party use of brand(s) on the web.
- Be a part of the legal team’s daily duties including domain registration maintenance, docketing of information, drafting letters (and other documents) as needed, creating and/or maintaining data sheets containing work product or other information required to be charted to increase productivity.
